Sometimes, life is a walk in the park

A breath of fresh air is just what the eighth grade at Or Chadash needed, and it’s precisely what they got. The girls spent a refreshing day soaking up some sun and flexing their walking muscles, in the breathtaking Nesher Park just outside of Haifa.

The girls hiked through woodland area and stopped along the way at scenic lookouts. Up and down the mountains they went but the most exhilarating element to their walk was crossing the hanging bridge which is suspended over a steep valley. The bridge is extremely narrow and long, and it swings as you walk along it. Who knew nature could be so fun?!

Another win for our team!

The high school girls at Or Chadash were treated to a fun filled day in Haifa. There’s nothing like a day trip during the school year to stir up some excitement and break the monotony. The girls started their adventure at the bowling alley where they competed in leagues and played arcade games. Next, they were off to the go-kart track to do some racing and to cheer each other on.

Spending time together outside the classroom builds camaraderie between the girls and makes the teachers more approachable to the students. In all, the closeness felt between the group was evident in the carefree laughter and high-fives all around.

Color splashed all over the Girls Town Or Chadash dining hall this Tu B’shvat in the form of fruits of all shapes and sizes. In a creative and fun filled day, each class was given a fruit theme to present to the rest of the school. The groups decorated their meal tables, created projects, and made presentations to celebrate the new year for the trees. And as always, edible food being the main attraction at any event, the girls were treated to a beautiful display of fruits and nuts to be enjoyed by all.
